I was invited to a luncheon by Susan Whetzel for the launch of her new cookbook titled The S’mores Cookbook.
It was a great opportunity for me to meet Susan from Doughmesstic as she tours the country sharing her latest cookbook. She is just as sweet as she looks and I loved my time getting to know her a little better over lunch and hear her story. It’s always my favorite part to hear where everyone started out from and what they love to do. Did I mention how talented she is? An accomplished baker and cook, this is her third cookbook to date. In this her latest book she has taken the all time childhood fireside favorite the s’more and given it many simple but fancy new looks. You will be amazed at what she has thought of! A few favorites that caught my attention were “S’mores Dip”, “Crock-pot S’mores Brownies”, and her “No Bake Oatmeal S’mores Cookies”. You’ll love her creativity when it comes to s’mores inspired drinks for both children and adults. Susan’s s’mores menu goes on and on and each one sounds just as delicious as the next.
I’m on my way out of town, or I would be spending the day baking some of these delicious treats, and you can bet that as soon as I’m home I’ll make something and share my experience here on Wendys Hat. What am I up to now? Come back tomorrow for a peek at my next two week adventure! Oh and in the mean time you can order your copy of Susan’s new cookbook through Amazon right here on my link. I think it would make an excellent gift too. So tell me… what is your favorite s’mores memory?
