What do you do with your old bananas? If you’re like me you have a few left over every week even after eating them every day. This is the perfect excuse to make Banana Bread! Yum! It’s so easy that it really doesn’t take much time and effort. I’ll share my simple recipe with you so you can make some today.
RECIPE FOR BANANA BREAD
You will need:
3 bananas mashed, ripe ones are better
1/2 cup of butter, softened
2 Tablespoons of milk
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt
2 cups of flour
OPTIONAL ~ 1 cup of chopped pecans are my favorite!
How to Make:
In a large bowl mix everything together.
I usually mix wet ingredients first, then add the varied tiny amounts of dry ingredients followed by mixing the flour in last.
Then I will mix in the pecans. Beat well.
Pour into greased bread loaf pans. I either use one large or two small depending on your preference.
Bake for 60 to 70 minutes in a 325 degree oven.
Take out and cool on bread rack then slice and eat!
I just love baking simple but yummy bread! If I’m not making my Banana Poppyseed Muffins you can bet I’m using my leftover bananas to make this bread! What is your favorite thing to make with older ripened bananas?
