It’s December! Have you done anything about your holiday gift giving ideas yet? You still have time to get those perfect Personalized Christmas Gifts just in time for those special people in your life.
Eek! Squeal! I’m so excited at how mine turned out that I couldn’t wait to show you! Plus stay tuned to the end, for another NEW FUN COCOA RECIPE that I’m sharing this year! Remember last year when I shared my hot cocoa recipe with you, along with some Tips for making the perfect Christmas cards? I’m happy to say that I just received my Christmas card order in from Shutterfly and was pleasantly surprised at how fabulous all the other Personalized Christmas Gifts came out too!
You know how much I love the quality and service that I’ve received from Shutterfly over the years when making my different holiday cards and stationary. I love how you can create any design photo card you want, with custom envelopes and liners and return address stickers and more! I guess I’m always so rushed in getting my Christmas cards done in time that I never really looked through the rest of their website. I was blown away by all of the products they carry now and can customize with ANY picture you want. This got me to thinking about giving some very special gifts to my family this year. I’m so happy I did it. Just look at how awesome they turned out too!
I took some of the images I used on our Christmas card this year and had these beautiful personalized metal snowflake ornaments made! They’re double sided so you’re seeing what each side looks like. They have lots of other designs to choose from as well. What a keepsake that every family member or even grandma would love! You know how much I love collecting ornaments. I am starting a new tradition of doing this with our family pictures each year. I’m also going to go back and make ornaments from years while my children were growing up. Who wouldn’t want their favorite childhood Christmas picture/memory made into a keepsake ornament like this?
You know how much I absolutely LOVE taking pictures! So when I saw the phone covers and chargers I went crazy! Shutterfly has so many templates and ideas for making personalized phone covers that my mind was spinning with ideas and here’s what I came up with. On the left is a phone cover for my daughter who’s away at college. She’s a photographer too. I used some of her own photos that she took while attending a Summer Abroad Program in Sydney, Australia last year. I know she’s going to be surprised and excited to see and use this!
Then there’s my favorite, the phone charger! Do you have that person who’s impossible to buy for? My husband is that guy! So I used a collection of my own travel photographs that I’ve taken all over the world while traveling with him and am giving him his own phone charger. I know that he is going to be AMAZED when he sees this! It will mean a lot to him and I might just have to order another one for me because I used some of my favorite travel pictures, that I love looking at. This is the perfect gift isn’t it? If you thought that was great then you better sit down for my final fun project!
This is probably my favorite thing ever! Gaah! Wrapping paper! I used to teach workshops on custom gift wrapping ideas and I love to wrap! So using the templates that Shutterfly has on their website, and using those same family pictures I used on our Christmas cards this year, I made the BEST Personalized wrapping paper I’ve ever seen! My Mother is going to flip out when I wrap up her gifts with this and she sees it. I’m thinking how great this would be for special birthday or wedding gifts too.
So there you have a sneak peek at some of my Personalized Christmas Gifts that I can’t wait to give out this year. So finally here are my 5 simple tips for the BEST Personalized Christmas Gifts so you can make some too.
- Just DO IT! Timing isn’t everything sometimes. Yes YOU who is reading this thinking it’s too late or you’re not creative enough to do it. It’s never too late to give a thoughtful gift or card.
- Use your own FAMILY pictures. They don’t have to be professional at all. Don’t be intimidated by that. Ask your friends or family for a picture or find one of their favorites online that they’ve posted somewhere.
- Get HELP. Go in with a family member or friend and do it together. Sometimes things are easier that way.
- Be CREATIVE! Yes YOU are creative enough when you have someone like Shutterfly with great ideas and templates and helping you all through the process.
- Most of all just have FUN!
Yippee! I can hardly wait for Christmas so I can see everyone unwrap my gifts this year. What is your favorite thing Shutterfly has offer on the website that you can personalize? Have you ever done anything like this before? I want to hear what you did. Oh, you’re wanting my new Hot Cocoa recipe and gift idea?
